I have been around the natural health food industry for as long as I can remember. My first introduction to natural products was as a young boy, when I’d go shopping with my parents in traditional health food stores. After all these years, I still distinctly recall the smell of bulk herbs. Things have come a long way since then.
I began my career in the natural health sector in 1992, and since that time, I worked with some of the most respected brands in the industry, including Natural Factors, SiSu and Genuine Health.
In my 25 years in the natural health industry, I have always had a balance between my passion for health and wellness, and also for the success of my customers. “I want your business to succeed.” To accomplish this, I always try to bring value to the table, honour people and be accountable to colleagues and customers.

Tanya brings many years of successful sales and leadership experience to help the sales group at GFR realize its full potential. Her previous roles include working for National Brands and selling to top tier retailers. Most recently she held the position of Western Regional Sales Manager at SISU. Tanya’s energy, skill and determination delivers the coaching and mentoring required for the sales team and at the same time strategically provides support and direction to ensure a valuable and successful client experience. Her passion is not only for the industry and living an active and healthy lifestyle, but also for achieving excellence in her work.

Who would have known that when I was looking for my first job, I would land one at the local GNC? Over the years it laid the foundation for my penchant for health, and gave me a sense of good business practices and customer service.
Remaining in the industry, I developed and honed my skills in outside sales and managerial roles within wholesale, distribution, and branded companies, as well as my own brokerage agency working with both well established & start-up, supplement, skin care, and grocery brands.
The journey has brought me to GFR Pharma, a culmination of my years connecting with people, where my enthusiasm and devotion can be applied in creating products for others and supporting their success.

Having travelled throughout Canada and parts of the USA, I am very proud to call Vancouver, BC my home. My wife and I are avid foodies, and enjoy the many unique restaurants available in Vancouver and surrounding communities.

Immersed in the active living and natural health industry for several years has provided me an opportunity to grow personally and professionally. With this growth, I am dedicated to delivering reliable and responsive sales support, account management, and relevant manufacturing solutions, to my portfolio of clients. Holly Wakeman

Holly combines her deep passion for the health food industry with her commitment to solution selling and a customer centric focus. Most recently she held a Key Account Executive position within Western Canada’s largest natural and organic food distributor. However a lengthy and extensive sales history has helped Holly hone a sales approach that has resulted in successful collaboration with key partners while maintaining a strong emphasis on customer needs.
